System Requirements
The Divergence Software, Inc. Price/Volume studies require eSignal Version 7.9 (or newer) to operate.
To perform its task, each study must access data at the 1 and 5-min bars intervals (in addition to the bar interval that you are viewing). This means that these price/volume studies will generally take a little more time to load and reload than a 'conventional' study. This will be more noticeable on older, slower computers and less noticeable on computers with more RAM and faster processors. Once a study is loaded and configured, there should be no lags or performance problems (as long as the Update Frequency parameter is set to a reasonable value for the hardware and internet connection that you have available).
These studies will only operate with intraday bar intervals from 1-min bars and up. They will not operate with tick charts and they will not operate with daily, weekly or monthly charts.
For maximum clarity, it is recommended that certain Price/Volume studies be loaded into a separate Advanced Chart (e.g., do not load the Volume Profiler, Volume Profiler (Cumulative) and High-Volume Levels studies into the same Advanced Chart.) The Avg Volume-at-Bar study, however, can be loaded in combination with any other studies.
Installation
Installation is straightforward. When you receive your copy of one or more of the studies, just save it into any eSignal Formula Directory. You can then load any of the price/volume studies into any Advanced Chart by right-clicking in the chart and selecting the "Formulas" option from the pop-up menu.
