Touchpoint Weighting

There are four 'weight' settings available in S/R Analyst Pro that allow you to fine-tune the trendline selection process. These are Length Weighting, Touchpoint Weighting, Gap Weighting and Proximity Weighting. By default, all of these weightings are set to 1. If you assign a larger number to one or more of the weighting parameters, you are instructing the script to create an internal bias towards a particular trendline characteristic. For example, if you set Touchpoint Weighting to 2 and leave all of the other weightings at the default value of 1, the script will favor those trendlines that have the most touchpoints when it determines which are the best trendlines to display on the chart.

Note: The 'best' Upper Trendline and Lower Trendline will always be displayed as a slightly thicker line than any other trendlines that may be displayed on the chart.

Use the Touchpoint Weighting parameter to instruct the script to favor trendlines with more touchpoints over trendlines with fewer touchpoints.

Range is from 1 to 20 with 1 being the default value.
