Configuration Bar

The Filter Viewer Configuration Bar is used to control various aspects of filter operation.

Filter Viewer Configuration Bar

 

Name: Displays the Filter Name that was input when the filter was created. If no name was entered then as much of the actual filter expression as will fit in the assigned space will be displayed (see Creating Filters).

 

Last Update: Displays the date and time of the last filter update cycle.

 

Refresh: Click on the Refresh button to force a manual update of the filter at any time.

 

Auto-update: Check this box to turn on the filter auto-update cycle. Uncheck this box to turn off the filter auto-update cycle.

 

Interval: Set the update interval, in seconds, for the filter auto-update cycle. You can select a value from 1 second to 300 seconds.

 

Audio Alerts: Check this box to enabled audio alerts. Uncheck this box to disable audio alerts. An alert is generated in a filter whenever a new security is added to the filter display.

 

Select WAV file: Click on the ellipsis button to select the WAV file to be played when an audio alert is generated.

 

Visual Alerts: Check this box to enabled visual alerts. Uncheck this box to disable visual alerts. An alert is generated in a filter whenever a new security is added to the filter display. Filter alerts are always displayed at the bottom-right of the Filter Viewer window (see Viewing Alerts for more information on the Alert Dialog).

 

Alert on First Only: Check this box and an alert will be generated only the first time that a specific symbol enters the list. Leave this box unchecked and an alert will be generated each time a specific symbol enters or re-enters the list.

 

 

The Filter Viewer Configuration Bar can be minimized to increase the filter display area by clicking on the small left-arrow symbol that appears at the top-left of the bar.

Minimize the configuration bar

 

Once minimized, click on the arrow again to restore the Configuration Bar.
