The Filter Display Grid is where the actual filter results are displayed. The results of a filter will update automatically in realtime based on the Configuration Bar settings selected.

A column will be displayed in the grid for each column that was selected when the filter was created (see Creating Filters).

Double-click on a symbol name (i.e., in the Symbols column) and that symbol will be sent to the eSignal desktop application as the linking symbol).

Double-click on any cell in a row (but NOT in the Symbols column) and that symbol will be highlighted in the ScanExpert Viewer Grid.

Right-click in the Filter Display Grid and select the Copy Symbols to Clipboard option and all symbols currently in the filter will be copied onto the Windows Clipboard.

You can sort on any column by clicking on the column header. Click once to sort ascending and click again to sort descending. You can define multi-column sorts by clicking on a column header to set the primary sort, then hold down your SHIFT key and click on the column headers of one or more columns to complete the sort sequence.

Any column (except the Symbols column) can be dragged to a new location in the Filter window. Just click on a column header, keep the left mouse button down, and drag that column to a new location, then release the left mouse button.

Columns and rows in the grid can be resized in the same manner as those in the main ScanExpert Grid. The width of any column can be adjusted at any time by moving your mouse cursor between any two columns in the header row and then either dragging left or right. Column resizing only affects the selected column. The row height can be adjusted at any time by moving your mouse cursor between any two rows in the Symbols column and then either dragging up or down. A change in row height affects all rows in the grid simultaneously.

Each time a filter updates (based on the specified update interval), all symbols that are currently in the filter that were NOT in the filter prior to the update will be highlighted. This makes it easy to spot those symbols that just met the filter requirements.

Note: In order to keep the Filter Display Grids light in terms of resource utilization, no formatting can be applied to the columns in the filter display. However you can double-click on any row in a Filter Display Grid and that security will be highlighted in the main ScanExpert Grid.

Close Filter: Click on the Close Filter button to cancel and close the filter. If you assigned this filter a name, then all current settings, including screen position,  column order, sort order, and window size, will be saved. If you launch this filter again at a later date, all of the settings will be restored.

Keep Filter on Top: Check this box to keep the filter window on top of all other windows.
