When you run a script for the first time the data in all columns will be displayed in a standard numeric or text format, such as in the example below.

Default grid formatting.
All columns in the grid, with the exception of the Symbols column, can be formatted. The degree to which a column can be formatted depends upon the type of data being displayed in the column.
All formatting is accomplished by selecting the Column Properties option in the Column Menu. Right click in any column header and select the Column Properties option.

The Format Column dialog has two tabs.
| • | Formatting: Select the specific formatting to apply to the currently-selected column. |
| • | Alignment: Set the alignment of all cells in the currently-selected column. |
Using the Format drop-down box on the Formatting page, you can select the formatting option that you want to apply to the currently-selected column.
As you select different formats from the drop down list, the available options for that particular format will be displayed on the right-hand side of the dialog. A preview of how the selected settings will look in your grid is also displayed.

The Format Column dialog contains 9 formatting options. Note that when you enter the Format Column dialog for certain column types (such as Date or Time, or columns that display text) the only format available will be the default "Regular Cell" formatting option. For columns that display numeric values that are not part of a series (such as a column that returns a calculated value directly from the user script), the available formatting options will be "Regular Cell" and "Auto-Color Cell".
Note: Once you have applied formatting to the Grid, that formatting remains with the associated script. If you then modify the script by adding or removing columns, or changing the column order, the formatting may need to be adjusted.
The available formatting options are:
Use the Select Column Format drop-down box to select the formatting option that you would like to apply to the currently-selected column. Then click on the Apply button to save your changes. Press the ESC key or click on the Cancel button to cancel the operation.
