Triangle Size

Select from Small, Regular, and Large. This setting governs the pivot size required and, the larger the pivot, the larger (longer) the triangles will be. The default setting is Small. Note that if you select the Large pattern size you may need to adjust the Max Triangle Length setting to a larger value.

Show Ascending Triangles?

If checked, any ascending triangles found in the price data will be displayed. Default value is checked.

Show Descending Triangles?

If checked, any descending triangles found in the price data will be displayed. Default value is checked.

Show Common Triangles?

If checked, any common triangles found in the price data will be displayed. Default value is checked.

New Triangle Inside Existing Triangle

Select from Ignore or Replace. This setting governs the behavior in the event that a new Pending triangle is found before the current/existing Pending triangle has reached its completion point. If Ignore is selected then the new triangle will be ignored (not displayed) and the existing triangle will be allowed to complete. If Replace is selected then the new triangle will replace the existing triangle. Default value is Ignore.

Min Bars Remaining

This setting determines if a triangle can be displayed based on the number of bars remaining until the completion point is reached. The default value is 5, which means that a new Pending triangle will not be displayed unless there are at least 5 bars from the current price bar to the completion point of the triangle.

Max Triangle Length

Input the maximum triangle length that you wish to consider. The default value is 150 which means that any triangles that are longer than 150 bars will not be displayed.

Endpoint Location Tolerance (%)

Input the percentage to be used to filter Common triangles. The value input here determines how symmetrical the triangle formation must be. A lower value results in a more symmetrical triangle. The default value is 10% and the range is from 0 to 100.

Ascending/Descending Price Tolerance (%)

Input the percentage that will be used in identifying Ascending and Descending triangles. Typically an Ascending triangle would be based on two swing highs that share exactly the same price value. And the reverse would be true of a Descending triangle. This input allows you to apply some tolerance so that the two swing highs (or swing lows) do not have to be identical in order to be defined as Ascending or Descending triangles. Default value is 1% and this is measured against the high-to-low range of the triangle.

Pending Triangle Line Style

Select from Dotted or Solid. Default is Dotted.

----Line Width

Input the line width to be used when drawing Pending triangles. The default value is 2.

Confirmed Triangle Line Style

Select from Dotted or Solid. Default is Solid.

----Line Width

Input the line width to be used when drawing Pending triangles. The default value is 2.

Use Dark Background?

Check this box if you are using the Dark Theme in TradingView. Colors with a higher contrast against a dark background will be selected.
